I later wanted to be a poet or writer. I loved the richness of words and their ability to describe anything. I love languages words and sounds. I love phonetics, accents, designs and even fonts. A writer would be an excellent career for me. I am creative and my hand use to proudly wear pen smudges as I wrote for hours. That's of course, before the development and feasibility of a computer.
A writer. Yeah, but no, what good would that do for humanity? I had to do something meaningful to help people, not just inspire them or entertain them. I wanted to be a therapist or psychologist for women. Abused Women. I wanted to help people anchor themselves out of destructive lifestyles.
I'm a romantic. I'm an apasionada. I couldn't take the worlds problems and just listen with suggestions and thought-provoking probing. I still love psychology, but problems get to me. No. That's not it.
I decided. What if I could defend those in awful situations? What if I was an advocate for good? An ensurer of justice? But, quickly I found that being a lawyer is more about the best arguer. I want to be a defender of truth, but in this field I would be defining it.
I still love writing, helping, reading, learning and advocating. I can do good to society as a journalist. I can inform people. I can even do feature stories to explore my creativity.
But, I was just reporting what people were doing. What about being a part of change? What about advocating good?
P.R. Public Relations. It's just that. It's communication. It's strategy. It's advocacy. It's building relationships. It's interaction. It's everywhere. It's needed.
It's perfect for me.
Haha this is awesome :) It's funny because I wanted to be a performer/entertainer when I was younger :) And though professional performance isn't what I'm working towards the field of dance education is thoroughly consumed in the performing arts, so I've found what is perfect for me too. BUT...what do I do to allow myself to follow a field that isn't exactly rolling in the dough? Public Involvement work! haha Its really an awesome field and you are going to be so awesome at it! I love it a lot to because it is all about people and relationships :) Dance is too, but dance doesn't make money :) Anyway love you darlin :) P.S. Angela said Hefer the other day and it almost made me cry from laughter
